Description

The aqueduct over Gwenffrywol is a low single arch structure built in local sandstone, featuring squared coursed stone with dressed voussoirs and a parapet band. It has a solid appearance with a semi-circular arch framed by battered walls and a band at the crown. The aqueduct is complemented by deep curved wing walls, and a parapet sits on another band. While it is likely that both sides of the aqueduct have similar design features, the upstream side could not be inspected during the resurvey. This structure crosses into the Llanover Community.
