Description
Nos. 98 and 99 The Struet are a pair of shops with living space above, dating from the 19th century. The street front features three storeys and five windows, with a cement rendered finish and a slate roof. The three windows of No. 98 are positioned more closely together than the two windows of No. 99. The upper floors have 4-pane sash windows set in plain reveals. Between the top and first floors, there is a fascia board with the inscription "Viaduct House."
On the ground floor, the shopfronts are continuous and defined by pilasters, with long fascias and cornices above. The shopfront for No. 98 is divided into four sections. The two sections on the right consist of windows with three camber-headed lights each. To the left of these, there is a shop doorway with a half-glazed door, followed by a six-panelled door leading to the accommodation.
