Description

Bolgoed is a country house, dating from the 18th century. The main range is three storeys high and has three bays, constructed of unpainted stucco with a slate hipped roof that has deep eaves. It features rendered end-wall stacks. The top floor has small-paned square sash windows, while the first floor has four panes and stone sills. The ground floor has French windows in the central and right bays, and a broad opening with double half-glazed doors and side and top lights in the left bay, all with stone sills. A stone-paved veranda with timber posts, chamfered edges, and a slate roof, incorporates shallow elliptical arches.

To the left of the main range is a projecting crosswing, hipped in form, with a raised plinth, flat eaves, and a stone ridge stack. It has plate glass sashes on each floor, with stone sills. The side wall features a large canted bay to the right, with three plate glass sashes on each floor, a hornless 12-pane sash to the centre of the first floor, and two narrow late 19th-century windows above a smaller window and door in the left bay.

The rear of the main house displays a long arched stair light, and a low service wing extends to the right. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
