Description

The tomb slabs and railings at the Church of St Peter form a rectangular flagged enclosure surrounded by cast iron railings. Inside this enclosure are two floor slabs, each featuring saddleback coping that rises to ribbed crosses adorned with foliage. The edges of the slabs are inscribed with commemorative messages: on the left side is a tribute to Reverend Edward Jones, who died in 1860, and on the right side is a tribute to Sarah Payne, who died in 1858. The railings are topped with spear finials and include a central gate with slender posts and orb finials.
