Description

This is an early to mid-19th century building on Bridge Street, built with a pebbledash front and likely incorporating the structure of an earlier building from the 17th century. The front has two storeys and two windows, with decorative pilaster strips at the ends and a plinth. It has a slate roof, boarded eaves, and a roughcast chimney stack. The windows are small-pane sashes, and the central door is recessed and panelled.

At the rear, a tall chimney breast constructed of rubble is situated next to the adjoining property at 30 New Road, which was formerly a granary and stores.

The building was noted to be in deteriorating condition during an inspection in November 1985.

The interior retains a roof that probably dates to the 17th century, along with alterations; panelled and boarded doors; and fireplaces with Gothic detailing.
