Description

Usk House is a stone building dating from the 18th century. It stands two storeys high and features two windows facing Bridge Street. The roof is pyramidal and covered with slate, and there are two tall stone chimneys. The front wall is faced with stone laid in regular courses, with larger blocks used for the quoins and window dressings. The building has four-pane sash windows, with two on the first floor and one to the left below. To the right below, there is a doorway framed by dressed stone pilasters and an entablature, leading to a four-panelled door topped with a rectangular fanlight. At the rear, there is a lower two-storey block that extends at right angles, which has four windows and is constructed of stone with red brick dressings and a slate roof, also featuring four-pane sash windows.
