Description
Nos 9a and 10 Bridge Street are a pair of three-storey houses featuring four bays in total. They are constructed of red and yellow brick with extensive pale limestone dressings and have slate roofs with brick chimneys. The buildings have tall end pilasters adorned with Gothic floral detailing, and a similar pilaster is located at the center. Each house includes a gable in the outer bay and a full-height splayed bay window with sash glazing in camber-headed openings. The inner bays also have sash windows in camber-headed openings, and on the ground floor, there is a four-panelled door. The doorways are enclosed in a stone surround, with pillars that have naturalistic floral or animal capitals. Notably, No 9a features a modern four-panelled door.
