Description

Nos 9a and 10 Bridge Street are a pair of three-storey houses built with red and yellow brick, featuring extensive pale limestone dressings. They have slate roofs and brick chimneys. The buildings are designed with tall end pilasters that have Gothic floral detailing, and a similar pilaster is located at the center. Each house has a gable in the outer bay and a full-height splayed bay window with sash glazing in camber-headed openings. The inner bays also have sash windows in camber-headed openings, and on the ground floor, there is a four-panelled door. The doorways are enclosed in a stone surround, with pillars that have naturalistic floral or animal capitals.
