Description
Nos 103 and 103a The Struet is a two-storey building with a four-window street front, featuring a rendered exterior and stepped quoins at the ends. The roof is slate, and there are stone chimney stacks on the right, adjoining No. 102, and on the left end, which is rendered. On the first floor, there are four 4-pane sash windows with a continuous cornice at sill level, with a blank space in the center. The ground floor has a central round-headed arch that is rusticated and topped with a swan-neck pediment panel inscribed "The Griffin." There is an early 20th-century shop front on each side of the central arch, each featuring a central recessed door flanked by shop windows, all set within a surround that has end pilasters and a deep fascia board.
