Description
The stone boundary wall, located behind the road verge, extends approximately 6 meters from the steps leading to the Pottery to a rebuilt pier at the corner. This wall features two later 17th century elements that likely originated from the Aubrey manor house. Near the steps, there is a moulded arched niche with ogee and hollow chamfer mouldings, which is dated 1679. Additionally, on the terminal pier, there is a reset stone that displays a two confronting ogee-moulded basket arch on the underside, along with the inscription NON : IVPITER : QVIDEM / OMNIBVS : PLACET x / SPES : ALIT : EXVLES.
