Description
The base of the cross shaft in the churchyard at the Church of St Michael is square and features broach stops at the angles, where it transitions to an octagonal shape to support the former cross shaft. It stands on a 19th-century stepped plinth made of hammer-dressed stone. Above the base is the shaft of a sundial, which is also square in plan and includes chamfers and broach stops, culminating in an octagonal top. However, the dial and gnomon are currently missing.
