Description
The King's Arms is a detached, symmetrical house dating from the 18th century. It has two storeys and three bays. The roof is slate, with roughcast chimney stacks to the left and right. The eaves are bracketed, though many of the small brackets are missing. The exterior is roughcast with painted stucco dressings. The words "KING'S ARMS" are carved in relief on either side of the central window. The house has a stucco plinth and angle strips, while the window surrounds feature shoulders and vermiculated keystones. The windows are 4-pane horned sashes. Steps lead up to a central panelled door with a plain rectangular overlight within a panelled surround. A timber doorcase has pilasters and a cornice beneath a flat hood, supported by wrought iron scrolls. The left-hand return has a 20th-century attic window to the top left, and the right-hand return has a small 20th-century attic casement window to the top left. 20th-century extensions are present to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
