Description
Dynevor Home Farmhouse, formerly known as Newton Farmhouse, is a two-storey and attic farmhouse built with roughcast over rubble, featuring splayed profile wall bases. It has a steep stone slate roof with projecting end stacks and water tabling. The front of the house is three windows wide, with hipped slabbed dormers that contain two-light leaded casements. The main façade has sash windows set in recessed frames and a central half-glazed door.
At the rear, there is a tall cross-gable for the stair, and wide slabbed lean-to outshots on each side of the building.
Inside, the layout includes a central passage leading to a rear dog-leg stair, which is boarded and has an openwork handrail. The ground floor features beamed ceilings with massive axial joists in the hallway. The dining room includes a large stone-arched chimney piece, and there are six-panel doors throughout. The roof structure consists of collared roof trusses with dowelled, overlapping purlins and a slender ridge purlin.
