Description

Rhandirmwyn Bridge is a road bridge constructed in 1913, featuring a steel structure with Warren type truss girders and rigid joints, supported by three braced cross beams. The road deck has a tarmac surface and is upheld by these cross beams. At one end, there is a cast plate that reads ‘RHANDIRMWYN BRIDGE 1913 – H.A. Ellis SWANSEA ENGINEER – REES & KIRBY LTD MORRISTON BRIDGE BUILDERS’. The bridge is flanked by stone roadside curtain walls with piers and brick dressings on both the northeast and southwest sides.
