Description
Pont Cothi is a Grade II* listed single-carriageway bridge built of rubble stone, featuring three bays. The central piers are designed with full-height V-shaped cutwaters that rise to the parapet, serving as refuges. The central and right-hand (north) arches are pointed and constructed with narrow voussoirs, although the right-hand arch shows some distortion. The left-hand arch is a later addition, designed as a segmental arch with dressed voussoirs. All arches are equipped with drip moulds. The parapet is topped with a simple coping course. On the downstream side, one of the refuges has a small stone tablet that reads, "this bridge was mended by John Jones 1794." The approach and parapet on the right (north) bank curve outward on the upstream side, while on the downstream side, they connect seamlessly with a sinuous roadside wall. The left (south) bank features a splayed stone abutment.
