Description
Cross House is a small, double-fronted house with two parallel ranges and one and a half storeys. It features a painted rendered facade and a pitched slate roof, along with a red brick stack at the left end and a plain timber bargeboard. The ground floor includes a six-panelled door set within a painted timber doorcase, which has console brackets supporting an open pediment. This door is flanked by four-pane sash windows with cambered heads and slate sills. The upper storey has similar sash windows in the flanking bays, which break the eaves and are topped with timber gablets that also have bargeboards. The left end of the house is made of painted rubble stone and has a lower end gable on the rear range, which also features a brick stack. The right end of the house is adjacent to Cross House Stores.
