Description
Cross House Stores is a two-storey shop built in painted stucco, featuring a slate roof and a red brick stack on the left gable end. The ground floor has a projecting, painted timber shop front in the left and center bays, with a later 20th-century glazed timber door set in a central recess. This door is flanked by large three-light shop windows, with boarding above that is painted to match the frames and includes an unadorned sign board. There are raised end pilasters and a projecting fascia that runs across the front. To the right bay, there is a late 20th-century garage door. On the upper floor, there are four-pane sash windows with raised stucco surrounds and hoods. The left side features a decorative scrolled bargeboard, while the right side has a plain one. The right stack has been removed.
The interior of the shop has been altered, but it retains a boarded floor and a pair of painted cast iron columns flanking the entrance, both inscribed "Bright and Garrard, Carmarthen."
