Description
The terrace walls and balustrades at Cwm Rhuddan are constructed from rubble stone and feature a yellow terracotta balustrade designed in a neo-Jacobean style, characterized by keyed ovals and moulded coping. The balustrade is arranged in long sections between plain rendered piers that have moulded terracotta caps. There are three sections of balustrade to the left and five to the right of a flight of ashlar steps leading up to the front door, with one section on each side of the steps. At the end of the right side, there is a small quarter-round link that connects to a two-bay section that returns south at a right angle. The left section ends with a three-bay section that returns north along the eastern garden front, terminating at the northwest corner block.
