Description
7 Lammas Street is an end terrace shop with living accommodation, dating from the 18th century. The facade is finished in whitewashed stucco, while the gable is constructed from rubble. It features a slate close-eaves roof and a brick stack on the left end, which has ashlar shouldered coping at the gable. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a front elevation consisting of one window range. The upper floor has a large 16-pane sash window, and the ground floor features a shop front from around 2000, which includes three tall plate glass lights and a recessed plate glass door to the left, accessed by two slate steps. The shop front is framed by pilasters, a fascia, and a cornice. The left corner of the building has rusticated quoins.
The left side elevation is made of squared rubble stone and has two attic casement windows, one of which is located on the left side of the first floor. All windows have ashlar surrounds and keystones. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing that has a similar design and materials, featuring two windows in ashlar surrounds and a coped end gable.
Inside, there is a dogleg staircase with stick balusters and a turned newel.
