Description
The War Memorial Cross is a structure made of ashlar stone on a granite base, standing 4.6 meters high. The cross has an octagonal shape and features a wave moulding at its base. It is set on an octagonal inscribed base, which includes inscriptions honoring those who died in the First World War on the front three faces, a tribute to the 1939-1945 dead on the left side, and a dedication to Lieutenant Thomas Morris on the back. Below this, there is a broad plinth that has the words "Lest we forget" inscribed on the front, and it rests on a wider square stone base made of granite.
