Description
The Old School House at Barham Memorial School is a single-storey building constructed from squared rubble stone, featuring sandstone ashlar dressings and a steep slate roof with boarded eaves. It has rounded rubble stone chimneys at each end, topped with ashlar caps, positioned just in front of the roof ridge. The front of the building has a central porch flanked by a window on each side, although these windows have been boarded over in 1990 and again in 2002. The windows are adorned with chamfered lintels. The porch itself has a hipped roof with a gablet, an ogee-headed entrance, and a boarded door, along with a trefoil panel in the gable. At the rear, there is a deep catslide roof, with voussoirs above the windows and an outhouse beyond. Additionally, there is a roughcast extension on the right end wall. The building has not been inspected.
