Description
The Trevacoon farm buildings date from the early to mid-19th century and consist of ranges of outbuildings constructed from rubble stone, enclosing the northern end of a large, sloping farmyard. The eastern range is shaped like an "L" and has a whitewashed rear wall facing the road. It has grouted slate roofs, with a hipped angle at the northeast corner. Openings face the farmyard on the north and west fronts. The longer north front features a doorway with a cambered brick head, a 20th-century vent loop extending the full height of the building, and a low entry with a flattened red brick arch at an angle. The adjoining west front has an altered door and a blocked opening.
The western range is less significant but is included as part of the group value of the farm complex. This range is a long, slate-roofed building facing east, with gables to the north and south. It has two 20th-century metal windows and two doors with brick cambered heads, one of which has been filled in to create a window. An attached range running east, with a rear wall facing the road, is damaged. It has a monopitch roof and a 20th-century front wall, replacing a previously pitched roof building that had flattened arched cart entries, as shown in a photograph from a 1989 book of sale plans for the Trevacoon farm.
