Description
The structure is a wall with a tower and an adjacent pavement at Llawhaden House, approximately 130 meters long and built in two phases. The western three-fifths of the wall is constructed from rubble masonry, while the eastern section features masonry brought to courses and includes a date-stone.
At the eastern end, the wall returns to form the boundary with New Inn, and at the western end, it abuts Ashgrove. In the middle of the rubble masonry section, there is a tower or gazebo, which is currently too overgrown to be examined. The eastern end of the wall features a double gateway with timber gates.
In front of the wall, there is a raised stone pavement, which is an important and rare survival that may date back to the 1691 phase of construction.
