Description

The ruins of the Abbey of St Mary include substantial walls that remain high on the west end, the north wall, and the north transept. The eastern end has surviving walls of the crypt. In other areas, there are low walls or foundations, with the infirmary having three walls intact along with part of its rough stone vault. Additionally, collected carved stonework from the infirmary and several incised stones that were formerly in the parish church are displayed against the south wall.
