Description
The former oil store at Caldey Lighthouse is a single-storey building constructed in 1875. It features unpainted render over a combination of rubble stone and brick, topped with a grouted slate roof. The building has moulded kneelers at the coped gables and a rounded course beneath the eaves. The south end has an entry with quoins, a tall doorway that includes a hoodmould, double doors, and a blocked overlight. The date "1875" is displayed in raised letters above the doorway, which is situated beneath a roundel vent that also has a hoodmould. Additionally, there is a lunette and a roundel in the south gable. Some of the render has fallen away on the south end, revealing the brickwork around the doorway and the stone in the gable.
