Description

The main limekiln, located on the northwest side of Parrog Car Park, is likely from the early 19th century. It consists of rubble stone and earth, featuring two kilns: a larger one with kiln-eyes facing north and south, and a smaller one to the west. An earth and stone ramp leads up to the kilns from the north. The eastern side of the main kiln is high, with irregular stone walls that angle at the southeast corner. The kiln-eyes are broad and pointed, although one is obscured behind the Beach Cafe. The crucible is filled with earth, and the smaller kiln has one visible kiln eye on its west side.
