Description
This building is an early 19th-century nonconformist chapel that was converted and extended into a school in the later 19th century and is now used as a village hall. The original chapel is constructed from squared blue lias stone and features a hipped slate roof. It has one large pointed window at each end and two on the north wall, all of which have cut stone voussoirs, slate sills, and intersecting glazing bars. On the south side, there is a later 19th-century added wing that is gabled to the south and has lean-tos on each side. The gable includes a large pointed window with timber mullions, while the lean-tos have end lancets, one of which has been altered, and doors in the side walls. Additionally, there is an added brick lean-to on the east side.
