Description

Nevern Bridge is an 18th to early 19th century road bridge that spans the Afon Nyfer. It is constructed of rubble stone and ashlar, featuring a humped design. The bridge has two arches, with slate-capped ashlar cutwaters positioned between them. The larger southern arch is mainly faced with ashlar, while both arches include cut stone voussoirs. The arches are recessed and have keystones.

The ashlar section of the bridge bears resemblance to Pont Newydd, but the rubble stone over the smaller arch and the bend of the larger arch suggest that the centre and cutwaters may have been rebuilt.
