Description
Trevallen Stable Block is a late 19th-century stable block located to the south of Trevallen Farmhouse. It features a six-bay roof and a roughly constructed upper floor with eight bays. The building is made of coursed local limestone and has a slate roof. Inside, there are three loose boxes and two stables. The eastern side facing the farmyard has three cast-iron windows that include patent ventilators, each with twelve panes in the upper section and a segmental stone arch above. There are also two wide doors. On the western side, a solid staircase provides access to the granary above, which has a central door. Additionally, there is a hit-and-miss type iron ventilator located above the left door on the eastern side of the granary.
The northern gable wall of the stable block incorporates the southern wall of the adjacent old brewhouse or wash-house. Other farmyard buildings to the south pre-date the stable block. This structure is listed for its group value with Trevallen Farmhouse.
