Description

The stable block adjacent to Slebech Park is a U-shaped structure consisting of three stable ranges, situated on sloping ground that descends to the south and east. The main facade, approximately 40 meters long, faces southwest towards the house. The elevations overlooking the house's gardens to the southeast and southwest feature crenellations and pavilions. The central entrance on the southwest elevation is now blocked but is highlighted in the design. The building is constructed from local stone rubble, with brick surrounds around the openings, which were likely intended to be rendered. It has low-pitched slate roofs that are concealed by parapets at the front and southeast.

The stable block is primarily two storeys tall, but it rises to four storeys at the eastern end where the ground drops sharply. In the main elevation, the upper windows are exposed-frame sash windows with 12 panes, set beneath brick flat arches. Some openings on the southeast side are blind, while the ground floor features large semicircular windows, most of which are also blind. The main southwest entrance is set in a slightly advanced section of the building, topped with a high parapet adorned with crenellations and a large clock face. There is a blocked upper window and a blocked elliptical carriageway arch. The pavilion blocks at the ends of the southwest and southeast elevations are similarly advanced, featuring high parapets that create a false attic storey, with blind windows in the parapets and a string course at the base of the pavilion attics.

The rear of the building has a more utilitarian design, with casement windows and boarded doors. Access to the yard is from the northwest side, while the northeast side is bordered by a freestanding wall, beyond which the ground falls steeply.
