Description
Trefach is a mid-19th century farmhouse that incorporates parts of an older house. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a slate roof, bracketted eaves, and stone stacks at the ends. The front of the house is two storeys high and has three windows, which are large 12-pane sashes with thick slate sills and cut stone voussoirs. The central door is set within an ornate 19th-century wooden doorcase that includes bulbous twisted half-columns, consoles, and bargeboards. The door itself is half-glazed and has a traceried overlight with panelled reveals.
To the right of the main house is a low single-storey wing that has a stone end stack, an altered door in the centre, and two early 19th-century pointed traceried sash windows. The main house also features a rear wing that is two storeys tall, with a 12-pane stair light and various sashes, as well as a stone end stack. Additionally, the main house has an outshut at the rear leading to a rear court, and the adjoining facade of the wing has bracketed eaves and a range of two windows.
