Description
The schoolroom at Bethel Baptist Chapel is a former chapel built from roughcast rubble stone, featuring a slate roof and a brick stack on the left end. It has a raised plinth and three windows in the center of the facade, all of which are horned sashes, likely from the early 20th century, replacing similar original windows. The sills have been replaced with concrete. The taller center window has 15 panes, while the two shorter side windows have 12 panes each. Above the center window is a small plaque that reads 'Bethel Rebuilt 1821'.
On the right end wall, there is a small gabled outbuilding with a rear door. The rear wall features a boarded door and a 16-pane horned sash window for the schoolroom, along with a small window for the kitchen on the right side. There is also a larger kitchen window in the north end gable.
The interior of the schoolroom, dating from the late 19th century, consists of one main room and a smaller room to the north, which is now used as a kitchen.
