Description
Mill House at Glanffrwd Mill is a 2-storey, 3-window house built of rubble stone with a renewed slate roof and end stone stacks. The front wall features four vertical joints, indicating that it has been remodeled from an earlier building. The windows are 12-pane horned sashes, larger on the lower storey, and have been renewed under brick cambered heads with stone sills. The modern door is set back, and there is a similar window on the right-hand gable end. At the rear, there is a central stair window with a small-pane casement and a later inserted casement window on the lower right.
In front of the house, there is a cobbled surface. Inside, the house has a central stair hall with rooms on the right and left, separated by renewed boarded partitions. The stair hall and the right-hand room feature a floor made of black and red tiles. The right-hand room also includes a cast-iron fireplace with a wooden surround. There is a dog-leg stair that is part of the modern restoration, along with renewed floor joists. On the upper storey, the ceilings are boarded, and the floorboards are painted in the late 20th century.
