Description
Pont Llanfair is a rubble stone humped road bridge built with two spans featuring rounded arches and long abutments on each side, which are angled to the bridge. The northern arch is slightly higher than the southern arch. The arches are constructed with recessed stone voussoirs and have keystones in the southern arch. There are cutwaters between the arches on both sides, each topped with a stepped design that ends against a shallow raised pier. A raised pier is located to the north of the northern arch. The bridge has plain parapets with cement coping. The abutments, each measuring approximately 30 to 35 meters, are similar in design and include some buttressing; however, the northern abutment features two low floodwater arches.
