Description
Dolau-Gwyrddon Uchaf is a large farmhouse constructed of rubble stone, which was likely once covered in stucco. It features a half-hipped slate roof and stone end wall stacks, with the southern end stack being larger. The farmhouse has decorative fretted bargeboards. It is two stories high with a three-window front, showcasing hornless 12-pane sash windows in exposed boxes, complete with slate sills and rough stone voussoirs. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with an overlight that has marginal glazing bars. The front eaves are flat boarded. A slate plaque reading 'WP 1837' commemorates Dr. William Price and is located between the central and left windows. The northern end wall contains two first-floor sash windows and one window in the attic.
At the southwest corner, there is a lower two-story service range made of whitewashed rubble stone, which has a prominent central stack. The fenestration is irregular, with 20th-century glazing replacing the original sashes. To the right of the stack, there is a window above the door, while to the left, there are windows on each floor and another on the ground floor to the left. This service range is said to have once had external stairs leading to the loft at its southern end.
