Description
The former corn barn and stable at Bodcoll is a single-storeyed building constructed from roughly coursed local rubble stone, topped with a slate roof. It faces south into the farmyard, with the barn located on the right side and the stable on the left. The barn features a narrow doorway with a rough timber lintel and an opposing doorway at the rear. The stable has a similar doorway and a small window to its right. At the back, there are remains of a lean-to engine house, which is now part of a modern lean-to that runs the length of the building.
The west gable wall has a loft entry, although the external staircase leading to it has been lost. The five roof trusses are notably constructed in a rougher manner compared to those in other buildings on the yard. A stone wall partition separates the barn from the stable, which has a hayloft above. The stable features a good cobbled floor and retains its timber stall dividers.
