Description
Plas, formerly in Llanarth Parish, is a Grade II listed building featuring a roughcast facade with late 19th century to early 20th century smooth stuccoed quoins and an upper sill-band. The building has stuccoed lugged and shouldered surrounds to the windows and door, with raised keystones on the ground floor openings and the first floor center window. It has a hipped slate roof with wide bracketed eaves and rendered end chimney stacks.
The two-storey, three-bay front includes an original 12-pane hornless sash window in the center of the first floor, while the other windows have similar glazing but were elongated in the late 19th century or early 20th century. The windows feature slate sills, and there is a 20th-century door in the center with a plain overlight.
To the left side, there is a wing that has been remodelled and lowered to create a two-bay lean-to, while the right end is blank. The rear of the building has a lower gabled stairwell in the center, which includes an upper 3/6 hornless sash window and a small 4-pane casement on the ground floor of the left return wall. There are also 12-pane hornless sash windows on the first floor to the right and left, as well as on the ground floor to the right. A 20th-century glazed door is located to the left.
While some modernisation has occurred, the building retains a dog-leg stick baluster staircase and features six-panel doors on the ground floor. There is also a cellar.
