Description

Neuadd is a two-storey building constructed in the early 19th century, featuring whitewashed roughcast and rubble stone with a slate hipped pyramid roof. It has large eaves brackets and rendered stacks, one located behind the roof apex and another at the junction with the service range.

The southeast entrance front has two windows, while the service range to the right has three windows. The southwest garden front consists of three windows, and there is an exposed stone high plinth surrounding the building. The main house showcases 12-pane sash windows on the first floor, with the ground floor entrance front featuring a 12-pane sash window to the left under a dummy fanlight, and a door to the right beneath a matching stilted fanlight. This fanlight is situated above a two-column Roman Doric porch, which contains double 3-panel doors.

On the garden front, the ground floor has a 12-pane sash window on each side with a blank arch above, and originally had a central pair of 12-pane sashes under a shallow elliptical arch, though the left window is now blocked. The northwest side features a 12-pane sash window on each floor to the right, and a large arched stair-light to the left with a radiating-bar head. There is also a 20th-century lean-to addition.

The service wing, located to the right of the entrance front, is lower and has three windows across two storeys. It includes 6-pane square sashes under the eaves and 12-pane sashes below, with the roof hipped to the right end and a large chimney on the rear roof slope. The rear of the building has two storeys with 6, 8, and 6-pane upper windows, and 12, 16, and 12-pane windows below. The end wall features a door leading up outside steps with a small-paned overlight.

Inside, the early 19th-century interiors include 6-panel doors, panelled shutters, marble fireplaces with reeded jambs and lintels, and roundels at the angles. The staircase is a stick baluster dog-leg design.
