Description

This is a mid-19th century entrance gateway. It consists of two substantial gate piers built from Cilgerran stone, with square capstones that have a reeded detail, topped with pyramid caps. A 20th-century gate is present. Flanking the piers are lengths of curved wall, also of rusticated Cilgerran stone, with iron railings. The railings have a scrolled top and a gently ramped top rail that leads to smaller, narrower stone piers at the outer edges.
