Description
The former ore-dressing shed and ore-bin at Llywernog Mine is a three-sided structure made of rubble stone, featuring a monopitch slate roof that was restored in the later 20th century. This restoration is supported by four timber posts from the same period. The front wall, which is boarded, is set back within the structure. The western end includes a window with a stone lintel. The rear wall is built into the slope and has three red brick roundels at the upper level, positioned above a square chute that connects to the ore-bin located behind. The ore-bin itself is a rubble stone chute, shaped like half of an inverted cone, with short wing walls at the back that serve as revetments for the raised bank where the tramway used to transport ore to the site.
