Description
Ackill House is a double-pile house with early 19th-century front, set in its own grounds and originating from earlier times. The building has two storeys and is constructed from coursed rubble blocks, topped with a hipped slate roof and featuring end stacks and wide eaves. The front facade includes three sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames, with later splayed bays on either side of the central entrance. The entrance is adorned with an arched hood supported by simple columns and features an arched fanlight above the half-glazed doors.
The side elevation includes a two-storey splayed bay, while the rear range is topped with a pagoda roof that supports a bell-cote.
