Description
Stockton House was built around 1830 and is linked to the Powis Castle kennels from 1840, likely constructed by the estate to accommodate a key worker. The exterior features brick construction with a slate roof and a single central chimney stack. The house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical layout with three window ranges, a central entrance, and a short central rear wing. The entrance consists of a six-panelled door set in a trellised porch, flanked by 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor and 9-pane sash windows above, all topped with flat arched brick heads. The house retains its original character largely intact and serves as a well-detailed example of its type, which holds additional historical significance due to its connection with the Powis Estate.
