Description
Ceunant Farmhouse is an early to mid-18th century house constructed of brick in Flemish bond with coloured joints, featuring stone at the rear and a slated roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with four window bays. In the late 20th century, a slightly lower neo-Georgian block with a portico entrance was added around 1955 to replace a 17th century close studded timber-framed two-bay range that had a similar east gabled cross wing. The front of the house has twelve-paned sashes in box frames, with nine-inch slightly cambered heads. The sashes in the two west windows have been replaced, and the ground floor window on the east side now replaces the original canopied door. There are two gabled dormers with two lights each, as well as one dormer at the rear. An external stack is present on the west gable end. The interior plan has been altered, but it features six panelled doors.
