Description
Stockwell Farmhouse, which likely dates back to the 16th century, features a one-and-a-half storey hall block that has been refronted, along with a two-storey crosswing. There are later additions to the south and east, including a service wing, stable, and traphouse. The building is primarily constructed of rubble, with a stone tile roof on the front and slate on the rear. The crosswing is partly rendered, and the east side wall displays exposed square-panel timber-framing. The front gable end has been rebuilt using rock-faced rubble and incorporates a corner stack with a tall brick upper section. The "hall" range features slate-hung dormers on both the front and rear. The farmhouse has boarded doors and various 19th and 20th century small-paned timber casements, with the front gable showcasing cambered voussoir lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
