Description
The barn at Hindwell Farm is an 18th-century structure located about 50 meters to the east of the farmhouse. It features eight bays, including two threshing bays, and is constructed with a rubble plinth and stud and weather-boarded walls, topped with a slate roof. The interior includes some queen post trusses, while others are tie-beam trusses with raking struts. The barn is partly hidden by a later byre range within the farmyard.
Nearby, close to the northeast of the farmhouse, is an L-plan range consisting of an earlier 19th-century stable and granary block. This block has rubble walls and a slate roof that is hipped to the south. It is connected to a late 19th-century five-bay cartshed with a loft, which features rockfaced rubble at the gable end, a weather-boarded loft, a slate roof, and stone steps leading up to a boarded door. Additionally, a two-storey late 19th-century cowhouse range extends to the east, made of rockfaced rubble with a weather-boarded loft and a slate roof, containing seven boarded doors with brick-dressed openings.
These two ranges of farm buildings are grouped with the farmhouse.
