Description
The Wynnstay Inn is a public house constructed from uncoursed local slatey stone, featuring brick dressings around the openings that are block-bonded to the stonework. It has a slate roof with a tile ridge, complemented by one mid-chimney and two end-chimneys, all made of red brick. There is a small rooflight at the front of the building. The left half of the structure has a higher floor level, indicated by its higher ground storey sill level, and there are informal rear extensions.
The windows consist of 12-pane unequal-sash windows on the upper level and 16-pane sash windows on the lower level, all of which are regularly spaced and aligned. The entrance features a door located at the center of the left half, which is sheltered by an open-fronted and gabled brick porch, while the right half has a door without a porch. Both doors have rectangular overlights above them. The inn displays its sign and name prominently.
