Description

This is a sundial located within the churchyard of the Church of St Garmon. The sundial dates to 1764. It features a limestone pedestal of an inverted baluster shape, which stands on a moulded base. The pedestal is topped with a moulded cap that terminates in a small square block. Affixed to this block is a brass plate dial made by O. Ratcliff of Pool (Welshpool). The dial includes a gnomon and is inscribed with the latitude as 53 degrees 30' North.
