Description
The Olde Post Office is a 2-storey building constructed from roughcast front and yellow brick, topped with a dark tile roof. It features a main block with three bays, where the central bay projects forward and is gabled, adorned with scalloped barge boards. On either side, there are two flanking bays with lower roofs, and the upper floor windows extend above the eaves and are gabled. The central entrance has a depressed arch with boarded doors, which are decorated with a simple rectangular pattern formed by planted half-round moulding. The building includes iron lattice windows set in chamfered and painted stone surrounds. It is topped with paired yellow brick round chimney shafts that have zig-zag and spiral rib decorations. Additionally, iron hoops for hitching horses are still attached to the front of the building.
