Description

Capel Saron Methodist Church, built of roughly coursed rubble with a slate roof, features a gable entry at the southeast end. This entry includes a central pair of boarded doors set within a panelled doorcase, topped by a semi-circular fanlight. Flanking the doors are two pointed-headed windows with 'Y'-tracery, made of timber and sand glazed with diamond margin glazed lights. The gable also has a spherical triangle ventilator.

The side elevation, constructed of uncoursed rubble, consists of three bays on each side, all featuring identical windows with quatrefoils in the heads. A central metal conical ventilator is present.

At the northeast end is the former caretaker's house, which is two storeys high and one bay wide, complete with a gable stack. It has two-light timber windows, with the upper window replaced, and a charming square bay window added to the ground floor living room, along with a six-panelled door and bracketed eaves. There are also additions to the rear. Detached from the caretaker's house at the northeast end is a stable building that includes a store for the visiting preacher's horse.

The graveyard and the garden of the house are enclosed by simple spear-headed railings and gates, which are hung on octagonal cast iron posts with acorn terminals. These railings also line the axial approach to the southwest entrance.

Inside, the ceiling is divided into four panels, and the walls are plastered. The floor slopes down towards the Gothic-style pulpit, which is panelled on three sides.
