Description

Ditchyeld Bridge was rebuilt in the late 18th century, although earlier masonry can still be seen at the south abutment on the upstream side. The bridge features a single segmental arch made of coursed rubble, with a keyblock in the arch ring. There are voussoir rings around circular voids located through the haunches. The parapets slightly project over the ramped roadway, which curves out to end with square piers. This river crossing has a long history and is situated along the line of Offa's Dyke.
